Class Field Trips
Because of our unique and historic location, Spotlight has access to a wide variety of resources to enhance our students’ experiences. Each class takes a program-specific field trip during the session. These field trips are designed to expand upon the material learned in class. Students see how their course of study is applied in a real-world setting. Integral to our total immersion educational philosophy, the trips supplement the curriculum and offer students another way of viewing their discipline. The academic trips are always growing, changing and expanding. Last year, for example, Psychology students visited the Greensboro Veteran’s Center where they observed animal behavior then had an open discussion with the staff. The Forensic Science class visited the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and forensic laboratory for an up-close view of how Forensic Science is used as part of the justice system. These exciting class trips are scheduled as summer approaches; check our web site or give us a call for updates! |
