Admissions are rolling and subject to class size. We do not require letters of recommendation, transcripts, or essays. Online applications are accepted until the program is sold out or one week before your desired session’s start day. As space is limited, it is recommended that students complete their online application (Step 1) as early as possible.
Step 1 – Online Application and Deposit – http://spotlight.salem.edu
Click the “Register Now” button. Select your course and session and enter the required information. A per
student, per session, non-refundable $500 deposit is required with each online application, and is payable through our secure online system via credit card or e-check.
Upon completion of Step 1, you will receive a detailed welcome pack e-mail. This arrives as an e-mail only, and will include a link to your student profile (Step 2) as well as an attached PDF with important program information.
Step 2 – Online Student Profile and Balance Payment – http://spotlight.salem.edu
Click the “Student Profile” button and complete all information. Detailed instructions on how to complete your student profile are also included with your welcome pack e-mail. You may log in to your student profile to add or update information at any time prior to the June 1st deadline. Tuition balance must also be paid online by June 1.
June 1 Deadline: Your student profile and final payment must be submitted online no later than June 1. All health forms must be mailed or faxed by June 1. Failure to do so may result in a late registration fee and affect your student’s
eligibility for admission to the program. Students applying after June 1 will incur a $100 late registration fee and must complete all information, forms and payment at time of registration. Any additional forms in the welcome pack e-mail, must be completed and presented to the designated Spotlight staff on registration day.
Basic Tuition: $2,395 – Covers room, all on-campus meals and activities, course materials, field trip transportation.
Required Charge: $100 Field Trip Account – Each session features two field trips. Before each trip, $50 will be issued to your daughter to cover two meals and personal spending.
Optional Charge: Airport Transportation Service to / from Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO)
One-way pick-up or drop-off is $100. Round-trip is $195. Spotlight staff members escort students to and from campus. Salem Academy provides or arranges for all vehicles and drivers. Detailed instructions on how to request this service will be provided in your welcome pack e-mail. Itineraries and payment must be submitted by June 1.
Optional Events: Optional Events are fun optional excursions or activities that vary from summer to summer. Detailed
descriptions of these events and instructions on how to enroll will be provided in your welcome pack e-mail.
Refund Policy: Refunds are determined by the date of withdrawal from the program.
On or before June 1: All tuition, including any additional charges, will be refunded, excluding the $500 deposit.
After June 1: All tuition, including any additional charges, for any student who withdraws or is dismissed for any reason will not be refunded, as the school must honor financial commitments based on expected enrollment.
