Our Spanish program is designed to pick up where traditional Spanish classes leaves off. In addition to working<
on grammar and conversation, we introduce students to the foods, customs, culture and entertainment that
make Spanish-speaking cultures unique. Learning a language should be an adventure!
Our teachers are terrific at creating a dynamic classroom in which each student’s growing fluency is top priority.
Creating conversational situations is just one way we help them develop the comfort and confidence to read,
write, speak, and listen to Spanish. They might write “Querida Abby” columns, watch a Spanish movie and
write a review of it, or play roles in a Spanish-language comedy skit. Spanish students extend their skill
sets, push their limits, and enjoy playing with the language. Culture comes alive through food, literature,
and other materials. We may read Pablo Neruda’s poetry, listen to salsa and Spanish-language hip-hop,
or make dishes like flan, horchata, and churros.
Our program is open to students of all levels. Teachers group the class by age and experience
level and personalize the course of study for each student.
