Are you a beginner interested in acting? Are you already a performer and hoping to hone your skills? Spotlight’s Performing Arts program has something for everyone. Our course helps young women think critically, present publicly, and explore their creativity and independence. Through one-on-one work with the teacher and collaboration with classmates, students develop skills from a platform of three critical building blocks of performing: acting, improvisation, and voice and movement.

ACTING
Education and preparation are just as critical to performing arts as personal talent. Use this environment to gain confidence and experience with acting skills in a constructive and supportive atmosphere.

IMPROVISATION The ability to think on your feet is essential to performing arts. Explore techniques actors have used to make some of the most famous and spontaneous moments in history. Learn how to manage and capitalize on the uncertainty of unexpected moments.

VOICE & MOVEMENT Students improve their speaking and singing voices to be more effective on stage. They also practice movement and choreography, working with many actors to create a strong performance.
